Square Peg in Round Hole

June 29th, 2010

A square peg in a round hole is someone, with a unique set of skills, experience and passion that finds himself or herself in a career where they are not able to apply those skills or become their best.

Who do you know who has a uniques set of skills, experience and passion?

I don’t know about you but every single person I met does fit that description. Every one of them, and that includes you has a unique set of skills, a passion about something, interests and unique experience. It does not matter how old you are, what your education is, where you come from or where you have been, you are a different person than I am. So, how come most employers and our education system are treating us like we are all the same?

the psychology of high producers

June 12th, 2010

Continuing on my story there on how I found my passion and decided to follow it in the “What is Stopping You?” post.

Pink says in, Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us, his provocative and persuasive new book. The secret to high performance and satisfaction—at work, at school, and at home—is the deeply human need to direct our own lives, to learn and create new things, and to do better by ourselves and our world. What is Stopping You?

June 6th, 2010

In this post, I’d like to write a little more about the Psychology of success using an example from my past. I’ll try to keep the story brief, so here it goes but I do think my point of vue is worth reading.

In the early 80′s after moving to Alberta from Quebec, and leaving my position working on IBM systems, I started my own business (1981). It was a Multi-Level Marketing business and I ended up making a decent living out of it like quite a few others did with Amway  -contrary to popular belief about MLM’s. Read the rest of this entry »

I just watched a video where this marketing guru talks about some of what is different between high performers and everybody else. I really like what I heard and I thought I would share my own interpretation of the 4 pillars to success. Read the rest of this entry »
